Wow! I Can Speak Portuguese!!

Trevor with his friend Christian from NC in the CTM

What's up guys!

Wow, I have lots to say and I’m not sure if I have enough time to say it. Congrats dad on the business! that's awesome! Sounds like you guys are all pretty busy. Hope everything goes well! keep me posted!

OH YEAH! BYU BEAT GONZAGA!!!! I knew we'd beat em. Haha!

Everything is going pretty well out here! So last week I went to the police department with tons of Hispanics and my companion to get our fingerprints and everything. It was super awesome to joke around and get to know some people. And a lot of them said that my Portuguese is really good for only being out for a couple weeks! Which is like an awesome compliment for me! Don't worry, I didn't let it go to my head because I still don't have a clue of what people are saying most of the time.

The Portuguese is Coming!

Hey Guys!

That's so crazy that it's snowing that much in North Carolina! Hey Matt congrats on getting bumped up to varsity dude! Hey mom I'm glad you had a great birthday. It sounds like everything is going great back home.

Thank you everyone for all the letters you sent me with to the MTC. They've really helped a lot. It's just what I needed! I've only had time to read a few so far, but I'll read them all pretty soon!

We Can Always Return to the Lord

Hey guys!

I hope everyone is doing well! The first week has been pretty great. I was a little nervous when I found out that I would have to teach a pesquisador in Portuguese on my second day. It went pretty good though! We teach a lesson to a guy named Bruno (who is actually Irmao Martins, our teacher for the next 5 weeks). It gets better every day. I can honestly say that for the most part, I still have no idea what people are saying, but I'm learning a lot faster than I thought I would!

Made it to Brazil!

Hey mom!

I only have 10 minutes so I have to make it fast. Holy cow it's crazy out here! haha! It took me a little while but I finally got through customs and everything. I met a really nice family on the plane. They were Brazilian. Actually, everyone around me was Brazilian. But if most Brazilians are as nice as them, then this is going to be awesome! It's way different out here! I first walked out of the airport and saw trees that looked like they were from the jungle. Traffic is crazy! there are hundreds of mopeds zippin between lanes in heavy traffic. It looks really awesome! But is is hot! our room doesn't have A/C. It has a window and a fan. It's all good though, I'm already starting to get used to it. My companion is Elder G who's also going to Londrina. He seems like a pretty cool guy. I was so tired today! That flight took forever and I probably slept for an hour and a half total out of the 10 1/2 hours. It was a bit freaky at first because I couldn't see anyone at the MTC that spoke english. After a bit I found a group of Americans that all came in two weeks ago. They're all super cool and funny people and 2 of them are actually from North Carolina. Oh, and I ran into Elder Coombs today. Sorry, I'm out of time. I'll have to tell you about everything else next week.

See ya!
